Shiny Toy Guns[/color]
Five years ago in Hush Sound, Montana, a drug-addicted group of three teens came to school with the intention to kill. Thirteen students and three teachers were shot and killed, along with the three teens who committed suicide together. The harsh action shocked the sleepy town of Hush Sound and caused an awakening in bettering their community and uncorrupting their teens.
You are the dark ocean bottom
And I am the fast-sinking anchor
Should I fall for you
You are the scar on my tissue
That I show all of my new friends
Should I show you me
Now, instead of the large public school, two private schools stand in its place. Separated by gender in hopes to rid all evil thoughts rendered by hormones and focus teenagers on their studies, students find themselves also living at these schools instead of their homes only a few miles away. The town has forbid any kind of television, movies rated R, and no longer sells any time of firearm, drug, or liquor.
All we need is a little bit of momentum
Break down these walls that we've built around ourselves
All we need is a little bit of inertia
Break down and tell, break down and tell
However, the teens of Hush Sound aren’t receptive of the new placement of strict rules and new schools. They are still themselves, growing up on MTV and cocaine. Most of them weren’t even old enough to understand the reasons of the school shooting. They are being punished for a crime they did not commit.
That you are the rain on the fire
Deep in the trees when no one was looking
Should I speak of this
You are a mirage in the distance
That defies the heat of the desert
Should I believe in you
On the outside the teenagers follow the rules, wear their uniforms, and don’t think about the opposite sex, or sex in general. Not one has touched a drop of alcohol. However, we all know this is not true. With a black market running through both schools, sneaking in lovers, drugs, and liquor, the teens have become more corrupt now than they were before. They are planning a rebellion.
These rules are made to break
And these walls are built to fall
These rules are made to break us all
